DAWO BLACK IN WHITE MIAOMO - An Interpretation
The artistic expression of Dawo Miaomo, with inspirational black in white strokes of the Chinese brushes, in the sublime nature of the psyche, is the promotion and vivification of the ontological beauty of Life and Nature, as further revealed by the combination of the many branches of the oriental art: calligraphy, painting, dancing, music and architecture.
Hidden in the abstract, illusive and blurred patterns and images, one can be fully immersed in the romanticism and mysticism of the Oriental. This is purely a searching for the expression of the many forms of oriental contemporary art in the integration of the ‘classical and modern’, ‘the Oriental and the Occidental’ and ‘the outward and the hidden’.
